Marouane Fellaini "going nowhere"

Too bad for all of you that got your hopes up, David Moyes says Fellaini is staying at Everton

Clive Brunskill

We've heard a few various rumors about Chelsea having interest in Marouane Fellaini today. That was exciting news for many of us, as Fellaini would fill any number of different roles for the club. David Moyes decided to get all grinch-like in his behavior though, dashing Chelsea fans' hopes before we even got a chance to start watching for Fellaini arriving in London in a helicopter.

While Fellaini will seemingly remain with Everton for at least the remainder for the season, this certainly doesn't rule out a move in the summer. We know he has a buyout (although we don't know the amount), and we know that Chelsea will likely have at least one more opening in the central midfield with the expected departure of Frank Lampard.

With Butland signing with Stoke and heading back on loan and Fellaini being ruled out by David Moyes, I'd guess that we'll see nothing but a few departures on loan for the remaining hours of this transfer window. I guess you never can tell though, so we'll make sure to keep sifting through rumors until the window officially shuts.
