While Chelsea managed to avoid the worst possible draw, our path to the next round of the FA Cup has just gotten significantly harder, with the Blues drawn against Aston Villa in tonight’s ball-twirling action for the fourth round.
We did get another home tie, continuing our remarkable home-games-only streak in both the FA Cup and the League Cup — six-for-six now, and the only exception the away leg of the two-legged League Cup semifinal. However, Villa are the toughest of those draws yet, with Unai Emery’s men flying high in second place in the Premier League right now.
But we can worry about that later. This match will take place the week of January 26. For now, all focus on tomorrow the League Cup semifinal!
