How should Chelsea line up against Middlesbrough in the first leg of the League Cup semifinal?

Middlesbrough vs. Chelsea, League Cup semifinal: You choose the starting lineup

Chelsea have about 72 hours between Saturday’s FA Cup game and Tuesday’s League Cup semifinal first leg, which really isn’t a very long time especially considering that we fielded pretty much our strongest first-choice lineup in the former.

Malo Gusto, Moisés Caicedo, Raheem Sterling, Levi Colwill, and Axel Disasi all played the full-90, while Enzo Fernández played all but five minutes of it. The only players not to feature from the matchday squad were the two substitute goalkeepers — gotta have two, right, Poch? — and left backs Dylan Williams and Ian Maatsen.

And given the short turnaround, it’s unlikely that any of our injured players would make their final bit of recovery during it — though Carney Chukwuemeka, Benoît Badiashile, and Ben Chilwell are getting close while Christopher Nkunku isn’t supposed to miss too much time.

So yeah, choose wisely.
