Injury update

Fittingly, Chelsea are closing out the calendar year with a couple more injury concerns, as both Mykhailo Mudryk and Roméo Lavia are doubtful for tomorrow’s game at Luton Town.

Mauricio Pochettino confirmed the news in his pre-match press conference this morning, and while he did not mention any specifics, we’ve yet to come out with good news from an “assessment” this season. So I’m fully expecting weeks-out at least for both.

“We need to assess Mudryk and then Roméo Lavia also.”

“[Lavia] feels something, some issue. We need to check and hope it’s not [bad]. I’m a little bit worried. I don’t know, because if you were watching the game [against Crystal Palace] you cannot appreciate I was changing the position with Lavia at the end because he was struggling to run. We will see what is going on.

“Hopefully it is not a big issue and he can play with us again. Important player that will recover and it is going to be a shame if we cannot use him in the next few games.”

Any good news on injuries?

“No, no”

Sigh, sigh.
