Chelsea 2-0 Sheffield United, Player Ratings: Super Cole does it again

Community player ratings from a less than convincing victory

1. COLE PALMER (8.2)

One does wonder where we’d be without Cole Palmer this season. The “punchline” of our summer transfer activities has been the undisputed breakout star in this expensively assembled collection of (expected) breakout stars, and he’s now been our Man of the Match in eight of his eleven career starts for the club. No joke!

2. CONOR GALLAGHER (7.4)

A well-timed reminder from Gallagher of just how important he is to this team, and I don’t mean as the designated armband-wearer in the constant absence of our first two designated armband-wearers.

3. MOISÉS CAICEDO (7.2)

Arguably Caicedo’s best performance in a Chelsea shirt, coming on the heels of an interview where he said he wasn’t worried about his slow start for us. Indeed.
