Chelsea fans’ preferred lineup against Sheffield United: No doubt except at center forward

Chelsea vs. Sheffield United, Premier League: Preferred lineup

As has been the case for most games over the past few weeks and months, our relative lack of options and depth — due to injuries mostly and a few suspensions — has restricted opportunities to rotate or get creative with the lineups. Far too often the lineup has practically picked itself, despite our decidedly mixed and inconsistent results on the pitch.

And that is once again the case here, with 10 of the 11 starters getting around 80 per cent of the vote at minimum. (The voting may have been a bit more restrictive than necessary, in fairness, as we had both Malo Gusto and Christopher Nkunku as injury doubts — both getting only around 17% of the vote as a result.)

Either way, the only real question was at center forward, where Nicolas Jackson (51%) just squeezed in ahead of Mykhailo Mudryk (50%). Ian Maatsen also came close at 44%, much more so than Armando Broja at just 30%.

4-2-3-1 (59%)
Petorvić (90%) | Colwill (85%), Badiashile (89%), Silva (84%), Disasi (78%) | Enzo (95%), Caicedo (95%) | Sterling (80%), Gallagher (81%), Palmer (94%) | Jackson (51%)
