Levi Colwill, Malo Gusto back in full training with Chelsea

Working for the weekend

Chelsea have begun preparations for the return of proper football this weekend and our impending, and quite scary, trip up north to face Newcastle United.

And we have a bit of good news regarding injuries as well, with Levi Colwill and Malo Gusto both full participants at the start of this week (Monday), as confirmed by the Chelsea official website.

Both defenders had been called up by their respective national teams, but both had to withdraw quite soon after: Colwill with a shoulder injury (which also caused him to miss our last game before the break, the tremendous 4-4 draw with Manchester City); Gusto with a knee problem (which he had been nursing for a while as well, as evidenced by the knee-wraps he had been sporting for games).

The official dispatch adds that Christopher Nkunku and Roméo Lavia have “continued their rehabilitation work”, which sheds little light on their prospects of a debut in the near future. But presumably we’re getting close, as reported previously.
