An easy 5-0 win Den-marked Andreas Christensen’s 50th international cap, as the Euro 2020 semifinalists easily swept aside Israel last night in World Cup qualifying. It was a third clean sheet for the Danes in the three games during this international break, with the Chelsea man playing all 270 minutes.
From a strictly Chelsea perspective, that heavy load is not necessarily a good thing for us going forward given our busy fixture list, but for the 25-year-old personally, it’s certainly a nice run, and a chance to maintain his stellar form.

Speaking of fine form, young Billy Gilmour continues to impress at every turn, with the latest coming for Scotland in their 1-0 win over Austria. Gilmour was only replaced for the final few minutes, earning plenty of plaudits once again.
Billy Gilmour looks like he's been playing international football for ten years, not three months.

Elsewhere, Mateo Kovačić played 75 minutes as Croatia beat neighbors Slovenia, 3-0 (former Chelsea loanee Mario Pašalić on the scoresheet), and Édouard Mendy came up big a couple times as Senegal beat Congo DR with two late goals, 3-1. Mendy kept Senegal in it early, only conceding from the penalty spot just before half-time.
