Napoli also interested in Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek — report

After Lazio and AS Roma, the latest Italian Serie A club to show interest in Ruben Loftus-Cheek are Napoli, as per Corriere dello Sport.

The Partenopei, who were linked with Emerson for a good long while as well before he went on loan to Lyon, have found it difficult to secure primary targets like Sofyan Amrabat, Zaydou Youssouf and Sander Berge, and apparently have now turned their attentions to Ruben.

They are hoping that previous business with Chelsea — Jorginho, Sarri, Bakayoko, Nathaniel Chalobah, etc. — will help secure this deal and convince the Blues and RLC that this is the right solution to his situation. Piotr Zieliński and Diego Demme are currently nursing injuries, so there should be opportunities for Ruben to play; and Napoli are competing in the Europa League as well.

One to keep an eye on then as we head towards the end of the 2021 summer transfer window.
