Romelu Lukaku has come home to Chelsea, and after stopping by Cobham on Monday for his in-house media duties and a brief tour to re-familiarize himself with the surroundings, he joined up with the first-team yesterday (Tuesday) for his first training session. (He had to isolate for five days after his arrival last week, which I guess is a Premier League protocol?)
While he’s been gone long enough that only César Azpilicueta remains of the teams he was once part of, he also knows a lot of the Academy boys, and he’s already developing a bromance with young Trevoh Chalobah, whose older brother, Nathaniel was a close friend when they both were starting to knock on the first-team door around 2012, 2013.
In fact, here’s Romelu talking about watching Trevoh’s goal on Saturday, and then getting all emotional about it. One of us.

I mean ... come on! Just too perfect.
Can’t wait to see him in action.
First training session pending.
