Man like Reece!

Chelsea have won the UEFA Super Cup for the second time in our history. This may be one of the “lesser” European trophies in the grand scheme of things, but the celebratory scenes last night in Belfast almost matched those seen just a few weeks ago in Porto, when we won the Champions League, also for the second time in our history. Not quite, but almost.

That said, one man did turn up the noise to eleven immediately after Kepa Arrizabalaga made the Cup-winning save, which was revealed in a video shot from behind the goal as the rest of the squad mobbed our backup penalty specialist goalkeeper. Not sure what possessed soft-spoken (in interviews) and mild mannered (at least in public) Reece James to unleash his emotions, but it’s something we sure love to see.

Here’s to many more trophy celebrations, and many more wild celebrations from Reece himself this season and well beyond!
