Cesc Fàbregas looking to move into football management once his playing days are over

Cesc Fàbregas has had a fantastic career, but at age 34, that’s slowly starting to wind down, especially as he’s been playing first-team football since age 16 (he recently passed 800 professional appearances for club and country combined in fact).

So what’s next for the former Arsenal, Barcelona, and Chelsea star? Apparently it’s not just relaxing at home with his beautiful family in beautiful Monaco.

“People tell me I’m crazy because after a long career and so much pressure, going into management is maybe even more pressure! It’s something that I like, I want to give it a go. I’m learning, studying, listening from a lot of different people and in football you always keep learning every day so I’m happy about this.”

Fàbregas has one year left on his contract in the Principality, and it sounds like it could be one of the last years of his playing career, if not actually the last. He’s been often limited by injury in recent years, and made just 7 starts in Ligue 1 last season.

I’m sure Cesc will find plenty of success in management, just as he had during his playing career. And who knows, perhaps he will one day return to Stamford Bridge in that capacity as well?
