Chelsea have apparently wrapped up training camp at Carton House in Maynooth just outside of Dublin a few days earlier than expected, and have traveled back to London. A morning session was still held today (Friday), it would appear, but the team then packed up and headed back to home base at Cobham.
As per a Chelsea statement, the decision stems from the cancelation of last night’s friendly against Drogheda United. The Blues were all set to take on The Drogs in a closed-doors friendly until a “possible positive” COVID-19 case from a Chelsea player forced the last-minute cancelation. That player has been isolating since (including for the intra-squad match held last night) but it certainly makes sense to be extra cautious with such things given the current continuing pandemic conditions.
“With the cancellation of last night‘s friendly game, the team’s training camp has moved back to the club’s training ground early to continue preparations for the game against Bournemouth.”

As of right now, Chelsea are still set to take on Bournemouth in a friendly on Tuesday night at the Vitality Stadium, and this one will actually be available to watch, for free on Chelsea TV, even! We should have many of the first-team players involved at Euro 2020 back by then as well (though perhaps not yet involved in the match).
