Bucking the trend of Academy youngsters leaving the club this summer, Armando Broja has signed a new long-term contract with Chelsea. Broja’s previous contract, signed just 18 months ago, was set to expire next summer, but now he’s tied to the club until 2026.
Great news indeed!
Armando Broja has signed a new long-term contract with the Blues! ✍️

Broja, who’s been at Chelsea since the under-10 level, spent last season on loan at Chelsea B Vitesse, where he scored 11 goals in 34 appearances in all competitions. That may not sound like too much, but it still made the 19-year-old one of the most prolific teenagers in any of Europe’s top leagues.
Whether Broja sticks around the first-ream this season remains to be seen however. The Chelsea (pipe-)dream of Erling Haaland remains alive and well in the rumor mill and we’re still actively shopping Tammy Abraham around. Olivier Giroud has also left, which could very well give Broja a perfect opportunity to stay and make an impact in what is still a very young Chelsea attacking corps. He was on the scoresheet already in our first preseason match.
In any case, congrats, Armando. Here’s to many more goals in Chelsea blue, and not just in friendlies!
