Olivier Giroud’s transfer to AC Milan has not been officially confirmed yet — surely just a matter of hours now — but the man himself has bid his farewell to Chelsea on social media already, thanking the club for all the “special moments” and the “magnificent” victories.
To all the Blues, to my teammates, to all my coaches, to the whole club, a huge thank you for these special moments.
I’m starting a new journey with a light and happy heart. Our victories in Fa Cup, Europa League and Champions league have been magnificent.
Love Oli G.

And it’s certainly been a magnificent 3.5 years with Oli G, who started and won the 2018 FA Cup, the 2019 Europa League, and played a key role in getting to the 2021 Champions League final as well.
The man’s influence extended beyond the pitch as well, and he was beloved by teammates and fans alike for his infallible attitude and model professionalism.
Love you too, Oli G, and best of luck in Milan!
