A classic matchup on the international stage, with a place in the quarterfinals on the line — though practically, the winner of this one would have a clear run to the final, having to face the winners of Sweden vs. Ukraine in the quarters and the winners of Czech Republic vs. Denmark in a potential semifinal.
England have never been to the final, and have only reached the semifinal twice — the last time in 1996, losing to, you guessed it, Germany, at Wembley.
England have gone without a single Chelsea player in the lineup (even though Mount and Chilwell are once again available). Germany have not made the same mistake, and picked all three of theirs.
Here we go!
