Despite Chelsea not yet giving up on a transfer for Achraf Hakimi, the Morocco international continues to get closer to a move to Paris Saint-Germain. According to Gianluca Di Marzio and Sky Sport Italia, there are now continuous contacts with Hakimi’s agent, and Inter Milan are expecting the decisive bid to arrive in the next few days.

The deal is not done yet by any means, but with the Parisian club expected to come up with a €75m bid — including bonuses — this saga is set to reach its conclusion soon, one way or another.

As Corriere dello Sport (via Sport Witness) notes, Chelsea still have an ace up their sleeves in the form of Marcos Alonso, with the Blues’ latest bid standing at €55m plus Marcos Alonso as a counterpart. But Inter are seemingly prioritizing the influx of cash before the end of the month and will likely pursue Alonso’s signing later on, as per Alfredo Pedulla. Hakimi’s preference towards a move to PSG will also have a part to play.

As for a replacement, it is mentioned that Davide Zappacosta was proposed to the Nerazzurri but the Serie A side prefer signing Manuel Lazzari of Lazio or Denzel Dumfries of PSV Eindhoven.

In any case, it will be worth watching if Chelsea submit an official bid as well in the coming days...
