In his first full month as Chelsea manager, Thomas Tuchel has earned himself a nomination for Premier League Manager of the Month.
This is especially impressive as he’s not only remained unbeaten with three wins and two draws, but he’s done so as, effectively, an interim manager, arriving in the middle of the season and having to implement his idea of football mid-stream. Chelsea’s defensive record can attest to just how well he’s been able to get his ideas across and get his players to execute his vision.
That said, in absolute terms, neither Tuchel, nor the other two nominees not named Pep Guardiola, Wolves’ Nuno Espirito Santo and Fulham’s Scott Parker should have a chance against the Manchester City boss, who went a perfect 6-for-6 to practically wrap up City’s latest title.
But this vote does have popular component — you can vote until Monday! — and it does take relative performance into account, such as Parker giving Fulham hope of avoiding relegation, Nuno turning things around at Wolves, or Tuchel doing his thing here.
So, go vote!
