After the massive game on Sunday we have another equally massive game on Thursday, especially after massive game on Sunday ended in a massive scoreless thud. With massively overachieving West Ham not in action until Sunday (vs. Arsenal), the winner of this massive game on Thursday will make the massive move into fourth place, at least temporarily-massively.
I guess what I’m saying is that things don’t get much more massive for us right now than a massive away trip to Anfield.
Fortunately, one thing that is not massive is our injury list, with Thiago Silva, Callum Hudson-Odoi, and Tammy Abraham all reportedly back in (full) training today. Silva had been restricted to individual training last week as he continues to recover from a thigh injury, while both Hudson-Odoi and Abraham had some concerns with various potential knocks over the weekend (even if Thomas Tuchel declined to use those knocks to explain and excuse his decisions regarding the two Academy graduates).
Having all players available will guarantee that Tuchel’s choices will inevitably upset some. Hopefully they will also help us get three points after back-to-back draws.
