1. ÉDOUARD MENDY (8.3)

Édouard Mendy has not had much to do lately, especially since the arrival of Thomas Tuchel, but he reminded us on Saturday just why he’s been one of the most important signings made this season — not the most expensive, not the most heralded, but perhaps the one who’s made the biggest, most obvious impact (and the one with the most movie-like story as well, let’s not forget!).

Here’s a fun stat: Mendy has more clean sheets (19) than goals conceded (18) in his Chelsea career.

2. ANTONIO RÜDIGER (7.3)

The Rüdiger redemption story has flown under the radar a bit, which is especially unfortunate considering all the angst and emotion and hate that was thrown his way during the managerial transition.

Toni started coming back into the team in the latter days of Lampard and has truly solidified his position under Tuchel. Now in his fourth season, he’s closing in on 100 Premier League appearances, which is certainly not nothing. But he is also one several defenders entering the final year of their contracts this summer, which is going to require a lot of hard decisions to be made.

3. N’GOLO KANTÉ (7.2)

When in doubt, choose N’Golo and choose love.
