Thomas Tuchel won’t be addressing the media with his pre-match press conference until Friday, so we don’t quite know what the latest situation may be with injuries and availabilities and the like at the moment.

But, presumably, Tammy Abraham is out after suffering what looked like a very painful ankle injury in our last game. There’s been some hopeful news after the initial concerns and worry about the ankle, so it probably not catastrophic, but it’s still likely to keep the team’s leading goalscorer out of action for at least a short while. Fortunately, Timo Werner has ended his drought and will now surely pour in the goals.

The big injury situation and question is the availability of Thiago Silva. Tuchel said last weekend that we’re working very hard to have the veteran center back for this game. Soft tissue injuries can linger however.

Meanwhile, the mystery surrounding Kai Havertz’s availability has not received much clarity, and remains very much ... a mystery.

Choose wisely.
