Chelsea can maintain top position and at least a three-point lead in the Premier League with a win against Burnley in the last game before the international break. There are some huge fixtures this weekend involving our closest rivals, with the rest of the top five all playing each other, which makes it even more imperative that we take advantage of the situation.
THE PEOPLE’S CHOICE
Édouard Mendy has only conceded 3 league goals this season and the WAGNH community continues to plenty of appreciation for that, keeping Kepa Arrizabalaga (3%) firmly in the backup role. Similarly, the 3-4-3 remains virtually unopposed ahead of the 3-5-2 (12%).
It’s the same back three that started against Malmö with Thiago Silva, Antonio Rüdiger and Andreas Christensen getting the nod ahead of Trevoh Chalobah (41%) and Malang Sarr (3%). Both wing backs rotate out however, as Reece James and Ben Chilwell replace César Azpilicueta (22%) and an injured Marcos Alonso (6%).
The wonderful remontada of Ruben Loftus-Cheek continues as he teams up with Jorginho in midfield for the second time in a row. Fitness concerns saw the community take the safe route with N’Golo Kanté (33%), while neither Saúl (5%) nor Ross Barkley (6%) can get a sniff. The game comes too soon for Mateo Kovačić.
The race for the third spot beside Kai Havertz and Callum Hudson-Odoi in attack saw Hakim Ziyech just about pip a fit-again Christian Pulisic (41%). With the exception of a half-fit Mason Mount (33%), the rest of the attacking crew remain out with injury.
3-4-3 (84%)
Mendy (97%) | Rüdiger (95%), Silva (61%), Christensen (81%) | Chilwell (93%), Loftus-Cheek (74%), Jorginho (88%), James (96%) | Hudson-Odoi (86%), Havertz (95%), Ziyech (43%)
