1. CALLUM HUDSON-ODOI (7.9)
Hudson-Odoi has been challenged to step up and step up consistently, especially as he’s playing his preferred position more often these days. And in this game, he certainly made the telling difference, creating a chance (with the help of Kai Havertz) that simply couldn’t be missed, even on a day when we missed quite a few presentable chances.
Job done.
2. RUBEN LOFTUS-CHEEK (7.7)
Ruben just keeps getting better and keeps growing in importance, and that’s simply wonderful to see. He started slowly in this game as well, to the point where Tuchel was concerned after the first 15 minutes, but then improved and was dominating the midfield before long — with his ever wonderful combination of physicality and technical excellence.
It’s been a long road back for RLC, but the path is getting easier and smoother now and hopefully he keeps progressing down it without setbacks or detours — same as Callum.
3. ANDREAS CHRISTENSEN (7.4)
Has he signed the new contract yet?
