1. MASON MOUNT (9.6)
The hat-trick may have had a healthy dose of stat-padding involved in it, with the game long-won by the time Mount added Chelsea’s sixth from the spot (getting a fortunate redo, even, after failing the first time) and then Chelsea’s seventh after a nice gift from Ruben Loftus-Cheek, but Mount also got the scoring started inside of ten minutes, and was instrumental in our play on and off the ball, as usual — even picking up an assist along the way.
The man called his shot, and delivered.
2. CALLUM HUDSON-ODOI (8.6)
Hudson-Odoi has started three of our last six league games (Aston Villa, Southampton, Norwich), and has now put together back-to-back good appearances. We need consistency on both of those counts to help him take that proverbial next step — even if he is still a couple weeks shy of his 21st birthday, which probably shouldn’t be forgotten even if he’s seemingly been around forever (and has over 100 professional appearances for the club under his belt).
3. MATEO KOVAČIĆ (8.5)
Kovačić rarely needs space or time to do his thing in midfield, but Norwich gave him all the freedom he’d ever need and he in turn picked them apart with some ridiculous through balls — in addition to his usual dribbling and slick ball retention things.
