Chelsea are supposedly working on multiple contract extensions behind the scenes, including but probably not limited to Andreas Christensen (should be done), Antonio Rüdiger (no decision until January at the earliest), Mason Mount (laying the groundwork), N’Golo Kanté (lifetime deal please), and Jorginho (we’ll see).
The latest name to add to that list is Trevoh Chalobah, as reported by Football.London’s Adam Newson, who claims that “a new long-term contract is now close” with talks already ongoing for “some time”. In fact, a Chalobah extension was mentioned back in the summer as well, when it became apparent that the 22-year-old will get to stay with the first-team after spending the last three seasons out on loan in England and France.
Chalobah is into the final two years of the five-year deal he signed in 2018, so it’s certainly a good time to get things done, especially as he’s quickly become an important part of our (stellar) defensive rotation, having started our last three Premier League games. He’s also chipped in with a couple goals already as well, in his nine appearances in all competitions!
Sign him up!
EXCL: Understand Chelsea are close to agreeing a new long-term contract with Trevoh Chalobah after his first-team breakthrough.

Deserved reward for his form this season. Chelsea haven't conceded a goal in open play in the PL with him on the pitchhttps://t.co/obKtywooQl
