1. ÉDOUARD MENDY (9.9)
Without checking, I’m fairly confident in claiming this to be the highest-rated goalkeeping performance in the history of these community player ratings, which are now in their tenth season (since 2012).
This is already Mendy’s fifth Man of the Match award this season, which is certainly well deserved because he’s the best in the world, but perhaps a bit concerning overall for the team. As good as he is, he can’t be expected to keep standing on his head on a near-weekly basis.
2. BEN CHILWELL (8.1)
Chilwell’s clearly used his time on the bench wisely, picking up all the tips from Marcos Alonso about scoring goals and about perfect volleying techniques.
