CALL OF THE BLOG
Ladies & Germs,
It is that time once again. I’m looking for a brave soul or two to come join the blog officially as a “contributor”. We haven’t done this for a couple years, so it’s probably overdue — new voices are always good — but 2021 was a weird year. And also, my budget had been maxed out. As usual, I’m looking for people from the comments to step and keep our homegrown tradition going.
As you may have noticed, we have lost Martin Lewis from our regular coverage. He’s found himself an actual job with an actual football club doing actually important things with the actual skills he’s been gracing us with for the past few years, and I’m actually extremely happy for that. He deserves all the success.
So, if any of you fancy yourselves as a football tactician and analyst, and would want to write about that for us, please drop me a line. My email’s in my profile.
Our women’s team coverage has been lacking greatly this year as well (not to mention the youths). Jay has been busy with real life, while André has been busy being awesome with like ten million projects and podcasts, so if any y’all want to help out in an official capacity, again, please let me know.
If you want to write — or something more 21st century like video or TikTok or whatever you kids may be into? — about anything else Chelsea-related, that’s also fine and I’m more than happy to hear your ideas, but those are two main areas I’m looking to fill gaps in our coverage.
My usual rules apply. There are only two, so it’s not hard.
- You should have a solid grasp of English. (I give at least a cursory edit to most posts. Sometimes I rewrite things, which I’m sure is annoying but ultimate power corrupts ultimately.)
- You should have
somecommon sense. I’m not looking for Twitter ranters and hot take artists.
All regular contributors receive a small monthly stipend. Think beer-money, not rent-money.
I don’t have a hard deadline for this, but am hoping to get any new people up and running during the international break.
Thanks!
-DP
And now, back to your regularly scheduled Hilario-ing.
