Out of all members of the loan brigade Chelsea had over the years, attacking midfielder Lucas Piazon was likely one of the most vocal critics of the system. Thus it should not be much of a surprise that he wants to cut ties with the club as soon as possible, so there is no possible friction between moving from the Blues to his new permanent home in Portuguese club SC Braga.
According to a report from Portuguese news outlet SIC, Lucas will ‘terminate’ his contract with Chelsea so he can join Braga presumably for free. They also claim that the deal is quite close to becoming official, with just a few minor details needed to be dealt with before pen is put to paper in definitive.
And “definitive” also defines the type of the deal Piazon will sign with Braga. After loans across seven different clubs during his professional career, he will be hoping that Braga will offer him a more stable experience in the sport.
