Danny Drinkwater’s loan move to Kasimpasa was confirmed today, with the 30-year-old now set to spend the remainder of the season with the Turkish Super Lig club.
This move had been in the works for quite some time now, but was delayed due to COVID-19 guidelines and restrictions on travel. Drinkwater eventually received special dispensation to travel and complete the deal. Kasimpasa are currently sat 15th in the table.

Drinkwater made his last professional appearance almost a year ago, February 2020, while still on loan with Aston Villa for the 2019-20 season, and has been restricted to playing for the Blues’ Development Squad (U23) this season.
He will now hope to reinvigorate his career, before once again trying to find himself a more permanent situation for next season int the summer. Chelsea, where he still has 18 months left on his current contract, will reportedly subsidize the majority of his wages for the time being.
