With the game against Manchester City set to go ahead on Sunday, Chelsea returned to the training ground at Cobham yesterday for one final time in 2020, to begin preparations for this all-important showdown of potentially massive implications. With no team managing to truly excel so far this season, it’s practically a ten-way fight for the top positions, and almost every clash is a six-pointer.
One massive boost to Chelsea could be the return to fitness of Hakim Ziyech. We’ve won just one game from six since his injury, scoring just seven goals in the process (three of which came in the one win). Head coach Frank Lampard has been hinting at a potential return for the Wizard this weekend, which is why it’s nice to see the 27-year-old pop up in training photos from Thursday.
