It’s game two of the new season, and it’s Chelsea’s home opener at Stamford Bridge, though obviously still without fans. And that’s unfortunate, especially as it’s Liverpool, last year’s champions, and we’re going to need all the help we can get.
It’s three points on offer, but also so much more. It’s a chance to make an early statement of intent, to set the tone.
One change for Chelsea: Kovačić in for Loftus-Cheek, switching to a three-man midfield and 4-3-3. Interestingly, Havertz is listed as the center forward, with Werner wide left. Tomori in for Rüdiger on the bench.
Here we go!

Arrizabalaga | Alonso, Zouma, Christensen, James | Kovačić, Kanté, Jorginho (c) | Werner, Havertz, Mount

Liverpool starting lineup (4-3-3):
Alisson | Robertson, Van Dijk, Fabinho, Alexander-Arnold | Keita, Henderson (c), Wijnaldum | Mane, Firmino, Salah
Substitutes from: Adrian, Thiago, Milner, Jones, Minamino, Tsimikas, Origi
