There are at least three massive games left on the Chelsea schedule, all in the space of seven days, with a fourth to follow if we win this one. (I’m not counting the second leg against Bayern in three weeks, carrying a 3-0 deficit, as anything of the sort.)
While finishing in the top-four and qualifying for the Champions League is exceedingly important, so is winning trophies. At Chelsea, we want it all. And Frank Lampard knows that better than just about anybody.
The FA Cup may not be as big or as meaningful as it once was, but it represents our only realistic chance at an actual trophy this season. Despite the fixture congestion — Liverpool away just three days after this — the head coach is likely to field as strong a lineup as he possibly can.
But this isn’t about him. This is about you, the hypothetical head coach. Everyone’s available except for N’Golo Kanté and Billy Gilmour.
