1. CHRISTIAN PULISIC (7.7)
Pulisic’s 10th Man of the Match of the season — into double digits, a.k.a Eden Hazard and Juan Mata territory — and seventh in his last eight games, with the one interruption fo the streak coming in the previous match.
Chelsea didn’t exactly light up the scoreboard in this one, but most things that were good, Pulisic, as usual, was involved in.
And to think, this is only the start.
2. OLIVIER GIROUD (7.7)
For Giroud, who just lost out to Pulisic by a couple hundredths, this is far from the start. In fact, it’s getting pretty near to the end. But he’s still got the legs — and that forehead! — at 33, going on 34.
And the goals — 6 in his last 8 starts — are just a bonus, adding to his much needed veteran presence and leadership in a team desperately in need of a few leaders.
Also, his celebration was great, even before he paid tribute to the injured N’Golo Kanté.
