As Chelsea traveled north to Sheffield to take on Sheffield United in yet another must-win, a new face popped up at Cobham for the first time.
The Wizard of AMS himself, Hakim Ziyech made his official arrival, having crossed the English Channel by way of a private plane as documented on his agent’s Instagram — presumably any required quarantine measures and other travel concerns were and are being properly followed.
Ziyech pulled on the Blue (training) shirt and headed out for a light individual session with a fitness coach under the watchful eyes of Chelsea Technical
Director Advisor Petr Čech, who will be keen to see all the club’s new signings settle in quickly ahead of next season, which is expected to start in September.
Neither Ziyech, nor the still vacationing Timo Werner will be eligible to play this season, but Lampard will surely look to start integrating them as soon as possible and as soon as that makes sense.
Welcome, Hakim! Let’s win some things.
