Brazilian midfielder Nathan and his current club, Atlético Mineiro, made clear in several occasions that they were in love with each other. The only thing standing in their path was his parent club, Chelsea.
That is no longer the case. From today on, Nathan is an Atlético player in definitive.

Reports from yesterday indicated that Chelsea were demanding €6.5m to sell Nathan — which in today’s exchange rates, would be approximately 13% of Atlético’s revenue last year. The Blues ultimately settled for less than half of their initial asking price, getting €3m from the transfer.
Despite his loan contract ending on June 20, he kept training with Atlético as his representatives and the club were confident that they would be able to reach an agreement with Chelsea over his stay in Belo Horizonte — even if only as another loan extension. Their hopes were ultimately surpassed, with Nathan signing a four-year deal with Atlético.
Forbidden love, no more. Good luck, Nathan!
