PICTURES: Anjorin, Bate, Broja, Lawrence join Chelsea first-team training

MOAR YOUF

Chelsea training is now in full swing as Premier League teams gear up for the restart of the season, which is coming up rather quickly in just a couple weeks.

And Chelsea will face a rather arduous schedule almost from the get-go, with three games in seven days after the first weekend, which will see us travel to Aston Villa.

Fortunately, we do have a fair amount of depth, especially in midfield, and as usual, we have plenty of talent to call upon from the Academy as well. In fact, at least four of them participated in first-team training yesterday, and that probably wasn’t the first time for any of them since the lockdown began to be eased. (It’s tough to tell since information is always limited, pictures are selective, and not all training days are documented.)

Forwards Armando Broja and Tino Anjorin have already made their first-team debuts this season — part of the record number of Academy debutants for Lampard & Co — and slick midfielders Lewis Bate and Henry Lawrence are surely not far away either.

Oh, and all the rest of the first-team players sans N’Golo Kanté were full participants as well, which does bode well for the congested fixture list coming up, especially after a season where not once have we had a fully fit squad.
