Chelsea will be in action for the third time in seven days on Wednesday, as we travel across town to take on West Ham United, for whom this is always a massive rivalry event.
Frank Lampard’s attempt to rotate his squad over the weekend didn’t quite come off as intended, with substitutions needed early and often to beat Leicester City in the FA Cup quarterfinals. Meanwhile, the likes of Antonio Rüdiger, N’Golo Kanté, and Willian have played (practically, in the latter’s case) every minute so far of Project Restart.
The pool of available players may have also shrunk a bit for this one, with both back-to-back-to-back Man of the Match Christian Pulisic and Andreas Christensen dealing with minor knocks that could potentially see them miss out, if for nothing else than precaution. Fikayo Tomori’s (probably) still injured but Callum Hudson-Odoi should be getting close, having returned to training last week already.
