Chelsea 2020-21 home shirt already on display two days before official reveal

Jumping the gun?

Chelsea have confirmed what the 2020-21 home kit will look like by virtue of updating the walls of the walkways around Stamford Bridge.

The images that show Chelsea players celebrating and/or looking cool now feature the new home shirts, complete with the black trim around the neck and sleeves and the big cartoony logo of Three UK, the new shirt sponsors. If you have held out hope that despite all the leaks since January, the logo would be replaced by their wordmark (‘Three’) instead, this should kill those off for good. Furry mustaches for all!

As with most kit releases, some will take the pictures as news of players staying (if they’re featured) and going (if they’re not), but as usual, these pictures, which were probably taken weeks if not months ago, don’t mean anything in that regard. So just because you see Willian or Michy Batshuayi up on the wall, that doesn’t mean they’re staying.
