Chelsea players who had been spending the lockdown back home in their home countries rather than in London or the UK have all returned this weekend as per club orders, which came on the heels of the Premier League advising clubs to do so on Friday.
As per Sky Sports, those seven players for Chelsea include Willian (who confirmed this on his Instagram story), Christian Pulisic (who was back home in the US and posting TikTok videos from his basement a lot), Andreas Christensen (back in Denmark), Emerson (who was presumably in Italy), and Spanish trio Kepa Arrizabalaga, Marcos Alonso, and Pedro.
Welcome back, boys!
With training possibly set to resume in a couple weeks but players coming in from abroad probably subject to a two-week quarantine — unconfirmed as yet — the move ensures that players will be available should that green light arrive. Several clubs, including Arsenal and Spurs, have already begun individual training. Chelsea do not appear to be there yet, but we’ll probably get there soon.
