The phenomenal Erling Braut Håland jumped online to participate in a quickfire question-and-answer session with ESPN over the weekend, and one of his answers certainly should’ve raised a few eyebrows.
Asked who would be the one retired player he would love to play with, the 19-year-old goal machine thought about it for a second, then answered, “Frank Lampard”.
No, this is not a drill. It’s about the third or fourth question in:
Obviously, this means that Erling Braut Håland is coming to Chelsea! You heard it here first!
This is science, do not argue with it.
In all seriousness, his answer is a bit surprising, though when we consider that Erling’s father, Alf-Inge Håland had a long career in England in the late ‘90s and early 2000s, including stints at Nottingham Forest, Leeds United, and Manchester City, it’s perhaps no coincidence that his son would pick the best Premier League midfielder of all time as the player he would’ve most like to have supply him with countless assists.
You know, Erling, we can still make this happen at Cobham, during Chelsea training soooo... come on over! (And maybe bring Jadon with ya. Why not?)
