WATCH: Christian Pulisic interviewed by Owen Hargreaves

What a magnificent beard!

BT Sport pundit Owen Hargreaves and Chelsea’s own Christian Pulisic sat down for a video call recently.

Talking about a host of different topics, a surprisingly bearded Pulisic opened up about his adjustment to life at home, missing “the boys”, and how he can’t wait to get back to the training ground as soon as possible. (His two-week quarantine, mandated after his return to London from the USA, should be ending soon.)

Pulisic goes on to reflect on first moving to Europe at the tender age of fifteen, starting his career at Dortmund and a tough transition to the Premier League. The winger also names his preferred position(s) on the field, the big influences of Frank Lampard and Jody Morris, and having the responsibility of being the figurehead of U.S. football.

There are a few other bits and pieces in there worth your time and also several attempts of Hargreaves to compare his journey to that of the American international. Though their stories have been a bit similar so far, let’s hope Pulisic emulates the former Manchester United midfielder’s trophy haul and not his catastrophic injury record.
