It's that time of the year. It's the time for a recognition even more important than winning Balloon d'Or. It’s time for a recognition that still happens in a coronavirus lockdown.
IT'S TIME!
FOR!
FIFA'S ... TEAM OF THE SEASON! ... (SO FAR)
That's right, ladies and gentlemen and even those of you who play "drop back" (yes you; I'm looking at you), it's that time when almost everyone in Ultimate Team will have these overpowered cards that will make your current team play like Chelsea of 2015-16.

Unfortunately, only one Chelsea player has made the team. And it’s not N’Golo Kanté.
Unlike the last few iterations or even FIFA 20's Team of the Year (where he had a beyond ridiculous 97 rated card which is still worth more than 2 million FIFA coins!), N'Golo has not made the cut.
That's a heartbreaker. However, it is an indication of how much he has struggled over the past twelve months thanks in large part to all the minor yet constant injuries.
However, not to worry, as replacing our "Twin Midfielder combo" is Eden Hazard's central midfield version, Mateo Kovačić.
Well in Mateo!

Our midfield maestro has made the @EASPORTSFIFA Team of the Season So Far! #TOTSSF #FIFA20
Mateo has enjoyed an amazing season under Frank Lampard and has lived up to the hype that was promised during his Inter days (minus the goals) and forgotten during his Real Madrid days.
Mateo's TOTS(SF) card is pretty well rounded and is bound to be extremely expensive.
Hopefully, Mateo continues on this path and wins some actual trophies with us, too, as he continues to rise and rise towards achieving his potential.
