Jurgen Klopp showed compassion for all at the start of this pandemic, senior players heavily involved in @premierleague players taking wage cuts. Then all that respect & goodwill is lost, poor this @LFC https://t.co/9bE8Rw1veE— Jamie Carragher (@Carra23) April 4, 2020
Long story short, basically the government will be paying 80% of the wages for some staff members since Liverpool has placed them on furlough.
Last season’s two Champions League finalists - who between them announced combined profits of £129m for 2018/19 - now using a Government scheme to pay 80 per cent of staff’s wage just four weeks into a shutdown. It’s completely indefensible.— Charles Watts (@charles_watts) April 4, 2020
