90+5min: One final attack from Chelsea comes to nought, and it ends 2-2.

90+2min: Alonso close to a hat-trick as he’s found at the far post by an Azpilicueta cross. Header back across goes just wide.

90+1min: 5 minutes added. Alonso tees up Barkley, but he gets his shot all wrong as it comes off his standing foot, and Bournemouth have a goal kick.

89min: Chelsea looking for a winner, but Pedro’s through ball is just a bit too long for Batshuayi. Ramsdale gets something in his eye in the process and gets checked to settle things down for a second.

85min: GOAL!!!! ALLLONSOOOO!!! That main again, Alonso, right spot at the right time, this time with his head after Pedro’s powerful shot was parried by Ramsdale. Chelsea’s pressure paying off, 2-2!!!

82min: More pressure from Chelsea, but the Cherries staying deep and strong at the back. Mount finds the ball from a corner, but his cross-shot is saved brilliantly by Ramsdale. The follow-up corner causes another scramble, but Azpilicueta’s snapshot is wide of the far post. Chelsea getting very unlucky here.

78min: Another corner for Chelsea after a blocked James cross. Willian takes, Ake clears but Pedro’s in the way. His volley is charged down and Azpi can’t find the rebound quickly enough. Willian’s next corner is too strong and Bournemouth clear.

76min: Back-to-back corners for Chelsea, but Bournemouth clear both times.

75min: Chelsea set up camp in the final third, with all 11 men behind the ball for the Cherries. Barkley eventually goes for a shot from the top of the area, which looks to be right on target, until Ake puts a head in the way and clears for a corner, almost scoring an own goal in the process.

73min: Batshuayi has the ball in the back of the net after Chelsea win the ball back in the final third, but he’s well offside.

72min: Batshuayi on for Giroud in Chelsea’s final change.

71min: Chelsea looking to push, but it’s Bournemouth who counter through Wilson. Christensen brings him down cynically at halfway, and earns a well deserved yellow card.

66min: As the conditions worsen and rain turns into hail, Chelsea settled down and pass it around. James picks out Giroud with a cross, but his header is over the bar.

64min: Barkley and Willian on for Jorginho and Tomori, as Chelsea switch to a 4-2-3-1

63min: Bournemouth come again and win a header at the far post. Wilson pounces on the loose ball with a snapshot at goal. Caballero makes the reaction save as the skies open and the rain starts teeming down.

59min: Smith into the book for a strong challenge, but Bournemouth with their tails up. Tomori clears for a brief respite.

57min. Goal. Bournemouth. Again. Great passing up the right channel, and Fraser puts a good ball across that King taps in. And just like that, 2-1.

54min: Goal. Bournemouth. Fraser takes this corner and Lerma rises high over Kovačić and Christensen and powers the header beyond Caballero. 1-1.

53min: At the other end, Christensen covers well to clear for a corner, which then James clears for another.

52min: Alonso in space on the left, puts the ball across to Pedro, but he can’t quite get his shot around Lerma’s long legs. The rebound runs to James, but his effort is well over the bar.

51min: Mount with another good push up the right channel, winning the foul off Mount. Chelsea find Pedro in the area from the free kick, but he can’t quite bring Giroud into play. Chelsea maintain possession and work the ball around. Mount nearly picks out Alonso at the far post with a perfect ball across the six-yard box. Bournemouth clear for a corner at the last seacond, which Ake then clears.

49min: Tomori takes a risk instead of a simple clearance and Bournemouth nick the ball. But fortunately they stray offside.

48min: Bournemouth test Chelsea with a long free kick, but Tomori’s fouled by Fraser to stop play.

47min: Mount wins the ball in midfield after a loose Ake touch. Kovačić plays wide to Alonso, who puts in a low cross. But Giroud inexplicably gets his left-footed finish all wrong and it goes wide of the near post. It seemed easier to score.

46min: No changes for either side as Bournemouth restart proceedings. But it’s Chelsea into the attack first, with Giroud winning a header in midfield to establish possession.

HALF-TIME: After a rocky start to the game, it’s been all Blues, with Alonso scoring for the second Premier League match running for a 1-0 half-time lead.

45+1min: A high ball into the area for Wilson poses brief danger before Azpilicueta blocks his path and wins a foul. Referee blows for half-time.

45min: Mount with a great run through the middle, almost found by Jorginho, but Mount can’t bring the ball over the top under control and Bournemouth can clear. 1 additional minute to be played.

43min: Chelsea probing for a second, but Bournemouth have regained their composure and are back in their compact shape.

41min: Chelsea corner on the far side this time, taken short. James tries his luck from 25, goalkeeper pushes clear. Chelsea gather on the far side and it’s Alonso on the wrong side with his wrong foot to put in a great cross, which just eludes a couple heads.

39min: A square ball from Kovačić sells Azpilicueta short and Bournemouth can break. But James and Christensen combine well to stop the threat.

38min: Ake finds Wilson in the area with a chipped ball, but Tomori marshals him well and clears with a long leg.

36min: More good one-touch passing leads to another James cross, but this time Ake’s out quickly to block. James takes the resulting corner, finding Tomori but he can’t quite work a shot for himself. Mount wins the ball back and Chelsea work it around for another cross and another corner. Mount takes and Alonso wins the ball at the near post, but Bournemouth clear just ahead of two arriving white shirts at the far post. Close!

33min: GOALLLLL!!!! ALLONSOOOOO!!! Beautiful 1-2 between James and Jorginho leads to a great cross from James. Giroud beats Ake to the ball at the near post, but can only hit the bar with a balletic effort. But not problem as the rebound falls to Alonso, who finishes with a powerful drive. 1-0, CHELSEA!!!

32min: High press from Chelsea almost results in a good chance, but Bournemouth recover to prevent a shot.

30min: Kovačić and Pedro work the ball well through midfield, finding Alonso out left. He works his man and finds a neat little pass into the middle, which Bournemouth hack clear. Chelsea come again, with Azpi crossing to the far post. Alonso keeps the ball alive, which eventually drops to Mount for a tough first-time volley. He gets his effort on target, but fairly weakly and the goalkeeper makes the easy save.

28min: Kovačić gets away with a poor-looking slide tackle from behind to win the ball in midfield. James then tries another cross, but this time he gets it all wrong and it’s an easy catch for the goalkeeper.

27min: Another corner for the Blues as Ake blocks a cross from an overlapping Azpilicueta. Mount takes this time, with not much better result as King clears. Chelsea maintain possession and eventually work the ball down the right for another ball across from Mount. Ake gets to it ahead of Giroud to clear.

26min: Chelsea win a corner as James’s latest cross is blocked. He takes the corner himself, but it’s a rather poor one and Billing clears with ease at the near post.

24min: James looks for Giroud, but L.Cook clear. It’s all Chelsea on the ball at the moment, but Bournemouth staying compact and disciplined.

23min: Pedro with a burst up the left channel, looks for Mount breaking into the area, but Ake dives in to intercept well. Ake then defends well on Giroud as Chelsea recycle possession.

21min: Another corner for the home side as Alonso blocks a cross. Bodies fly in the area, but it doesn’t matter as the corner curled out then back in and Chelsea have a goal kick.

19min: Corner for the home side as Tomori blocks a cross from Stacey. Kovačić first to it at the near post and Pedro runs it clear. Chelsea build, but Kovačić gives the ball away and Bournemouth counter with speed. Tomori covers and clears for a throw.

17min: Jorginho picks up an early yellow for a foul in midfield. Seems a bit harsh. It’s his 10th of the season, which means a two-match suspension.

16min: Chelsea maintain possession for a couple minutes, eventually working the ball into a crossing position for James. But it’s over the head of Giroud and Jorginho can’t quite maintain possession on the far side.

13min: A bit of a breather by both teams, before Chelsea press high and win the ball momentarily, but Bournemouth recover and win back the ball before Chelsea could create any danger.

9min: Bournemouth steam up their left side with King, he plays low into the area for Wilson, who fashions an awkward shot that almost catches out everybody. Caballero reacts quick enough to hand-volley it away.

8min: Finally, Chelsea string a few passes together, building from the back with Jorginho and Kovačić playing through the middle, finding Mount. He plays wide to James, who plays in to Pedro, who flicks on to Mount, who crosses for Alonso, whose cross is blocked for a corner. James’s corner is cleared at the near-post but only as far as Mount, who tries his luck from 20 yards. Ramsdale claws it wide for another corner, which James takes. Bournemouth don’t deal with it, but Ramsdale eventually is able to grab the loose ball ahead of Giroud.

5min: Still all Bournemouth. Chelsea have a throw briefly, but Billing nicks in as Tomori’s about to clear and has another fantastic opportunity to score. This time, he stabs the left-footed effort into the side-netting.

3min: It’s all Bournemouth so far, with Chelsea hardly able to get a kick. A great overlap on the right results in a good cutback, which Billing stabs at goal. He looks odds-on to score, but Caballero spreads a limb and makes the big block with the combination of arm and knee.

KICK-OFF: Chelsea, in all white, get us underway. Bournemouth in their usual red-and-black stripes with black shorts, win the ball almost immediately to establish possession however.

Bournemouth are not very good, but sometimes, Chelsea aren’t either.

So while this “should” three points for the Blues, it could just as easily be zero points for us as three. It will depend entirely on which version shows up today on the South Coast.
