In our return from a much needed winter break, Chelsea’s bad luck this season with injuries is continuing. Tammy Abraham and Callum Hudson-Odoi were already unavailable (not to mention Christian Pulisic and Ruben Loftus-Cheek), and now N’Golo Kanté has gone down injured as well.
Tammy and Callum both suffered setbacks this week.
“They’re both injured. Tammy is the same injury that has frustratingly come from Arsenal, played against Leicester, and now out. We will see how that develops for the games ahead.
“Callum pulled up with a hamstring a couple of days ago in training which we have been assessing. He’s out as well, hopefully not for too long.”

Their absences added to the weirdness of Frank Lampard’s starting eleven and bench selections. And then, just 10 minutes in, we suffered another big injury, with N’Golo Kanté going down with a groin concern.
The Blues are forced into an early change as Kante looks to have taken a knock. Mount is called into action from the bench.

We can only hope this is not another serious problem that would keep Kanté out for weeks. And the same goes for Tammy and CHO.
We’ve already had more than enough injuries this season!
