It’s been an unexpectedly tense battle so far. Birmingham certainly had a better gameplan this time, and not conceding int he second minute surely helped them grow into and enact it, but also Chelsea have lacked some sharpness.
This was somewhat expected after a weekend postponement gave them a ten day break between matches.
Anyway, Guro Reiten certainly lowered the volume a bit on Emma Hayes’ halftime talk with this goal just before the break.

This is Reiten’s sixth league goal of the season and third since the start of the new year. Keep those shooting boots on, Guro!
