Former Chelsea prospect and transfer target Jeremie Boga continued his fine breakout season with two more direct goal contributions this weekend, playing a key role in both goals for Sassuolo as they narrowly beat Serie A outfit SPAL, 2-1.

Lining up in his usual left wing position, Boga was the creative spark for the visitors, taking on players from wide position and registering remarkable dribbling stats while giving a fine performance overall.

SPAL had taken a first-half lead, but Boga won the penalty in the second-half from which Fransesco Caputo converted to bring Sassuolo level. Boga then brought the hammer down in the 90th minute, heading Sassuolo to an important three points with a far post header.

Boga has tallied 7 goals and 2 assists in just over 1700 minutes this season. His direct style of play is sure to attract attention from a host of clubs in the upcoming summer. Chelsea, who have a buyback clause and have already held preliminary talks over a potential return, could surely make use of such a player as Lampard has so often reiterated in the past few weeks.

Good luck to Jeremie for the rest of the season!
