Oh yeah, the pandemic.
It seems every time we get a little bit comfortable or a little bit closer to a semblance of normalcy, the health crisis we are still very much in rears its head in an unmissable way. This time it’s Chelsea FCW’s match versus Tottenham being postponed twenty-four hours before kickoff.
Tomorrow’s game against Tottenham Hotspur Women has been postponed.

The most alarming part is the very first line from the statement:
The decision was agreed between both teams and the FA after a number of positive tests for Covid-19 were returned within the Chelsea FC Women’s team set-up after the last round of testing.

This is Chelsea’s second WSL match to be postponed this season due to COVID-19. The first was after multiple positive tests within Aston Villa’s squad.
The club’s next match is scheduled for 10 January versus Reading.
And in the days to come, we will surely find out more information on who is infected and the extent of their symptoms. Either way, we wish everyone a full and speedy recovery.
