Chelsea have lost just two games all season, and only one of those in regulation. The other came in a penalty shootout in the fourth round of the League Cup against Spurs, against whom we now have a chance to exact revenge at the Bridge on Sunday. More importantly, the game will be a chance to notch a massive victory against one of our biggest rivals, and one that could have early-season title implications, even.
Not that any game against Spurs needs any more window dressing, but given that it’s Mourinho and that they’re currently top of the league, a Chelsea victory’s almost imperative. Fortunately, all players are well aware of the magnitude of the occasion, as True Blue Callum Hudson-Odoi recently told eager reporters.
“They know it is a big game. Every time Chelsea play Tottenham, everybody knows how big of a game it is.
“We want to win every game that we play against them. The new boys already know that it is going to be a massive game, it is going to be a tough one as well but we want to go out there and get the three points and hopefully we will be smiling at the weekend.
“It is a big derby, we want to beat them. It is a massive game. We are going to go in there confident. We have to make sure we recover well after Tuesday and hopefully get the three points.”

It may be just the 10th game of a 38-game season, but 10th games of 38-game seasons don’t come much bigger than this. It’s third versus first, the league’s best attack against the league’s best defense, and even without fans, it’s going to be a massive occasion indeed.
