1. N’GOLO KANTÉ (8.5)
In my hurry to leave the house on Saturday after the final whistle, I had forgotten to actually embed the voting form for the player ratings into the post-match reaction post. And unfortunately, I did not have an N’Golo Kanté to cover for my mistake. I guess I must be living in water — after all, as we know, 70 per cent of the Earth is covered by water, the rest by N’Golo Kanté.
2. TAMMY ABRAHAM (7.8)
No forced metaphors or similes here. November’s been a great month for Tammy. He’s found his shooting boots, scoring for the third successive game, giving him 5 goals in 13 appearances for the season. Considering that only about half of those appearances have been starts, that’s not bad at all — in fact, Tammy’s had at least a goal or an assist in each of his seven starts.
3. REECE JAMES (7.6)
Don’t look now, but Reece James has, somewhat quietly, completely sidelined César Azpilicueta, who’s now gone four games in a row on the bench, which surely has never happened in his Chelsea career. And James is still two weeks why of his 21st birthday! What a time to be a Chelsea fan!
